Name Change Reflects Strong Global Relationship

La Porte, Texas, January 17, 2008 – Prime Energy, a company within the Atlas Copco Group, has announced it has changed its name to Atlas Copco Prime Energy, LLC. The company will operate under the name Atlas Copco Prime Energy.

Atlas Copco Prime Energy rents 100% oil-free portable air compressors, serving such industries as refining and petrochemicals, pipeline construction, food and beverage, container manufacturing, metals, paper, glass, textiles and many others throughout the United States and Canada. The company has built a reputation for product reliability and customer service, with technicians available 24/7 for emergency situations. During major hurricanes, for example, Atlas Copco Prime Energy supplies many of the refineries and petrochemical plants along the Gulf Coast with the air needed to continue operations.

The name change was made to reflect the company’s close relationship with its parent corporation, Atlas Copco, which represents 135 years of global business success. Being the rental arm for such a well-established, respected equipment provider strengthens the brand equity previously built by Prime Energy, and enhances the company’s position in the industrial rental market.
